As much as I hate sifting through bad song after bad song on a daily basis it does make it more satisfying when you find something special. Something like Indigo Child.
The singer songwriter, who also plays piano, has a style and attitude that reminds me of Kate Nash and to some extent Lily Allen (listen to her tone on the line “but i’ve got school today”). Here she sings about a chance meeting with an old man, and how it made her appreciate the immediacy of life. There is a great deal of maturity in the lyrics, and the story like approach demands your attention throughout the entire song.
